Toredo Global Consulting is a Trade, Invoice, and Supply Chain Finance consultancy established in Sydney, Australia but with a global outlook and remit.

Its Founder and Managing Director is Mark Borton, who has a 40-year track record of delivery in these areas and is well known across the industry due to his extensive experiences in multiple geographies and disciplines.

Mark has a 40-year career in banking majoring in Trade, Invoice, Supply Chain Finance, and Cash Management at all levels of seniority and has worked in the UK, Hong Kong, Australia and Singapore covering businesses across UK/Europe, Asia, and Oceania.
​
In his extensive 25-year career at Standard Chartered, he ran Operations, Product, Client Service, and Technology Implementation businesses in the UK (covering UK/Europe) and Hong Kong (covering Northeast Asia), before moving to Australia where he joined Commonwealth Bank of Australia heading their Trade and Invoice Finance Product team.

Following that he spent 12 years at National Australia Bank, initially heading the Trade Finance Product team in Sydney before moving to Singapore in 2012 where he established the Product function for Trade and Cash Management and brought product disciplines to Private Wealth for Asia.
​
This was followed by also taking on the Head of Sales role for Trade and Cash Management in addition to the Asia Product function.
​
After his relocation back to Sydney in 2022, his most recent engagement was with a trade and invoice finance fraud detection-focused fintech where he was Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, as well as Head of Business Development for APAC.
​
From an industry perspective, Mark has always been active in furthering the development of trade, invoice, and supply chain finance especially in the digital space, having served on various industry bodies, including as a Main Board Director at the Bankers Association for Finance & Trade (BAFT), Co-Chair of the BAFT Asia Council, Chair of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Australia Banking Committee, and Director on the Australia/New Zealand regional board of the International Trade & Forfaiting Association (ITFA).
He has written numerous articles that have been featured in industry publications, and spoken extensively at multiple events, forums and on panels including SIBOS and Global Trade Review (GTR).
