Technology

Technology can be both an enabler and a disabler for any business and its clients.

When deployed appropriately, effectively, in a timely manner, and with a defined vision as to how best it can be used and enhanced, it can prove to be a powerful differentiator defining the DNA of a business leading to more satisfied clients, higher revenues, and stronger risk management.

All too often, however, a piece of technology can be reviewed and implemented in isolation in order to solve a pressing problem or close a regulatory issue without sufficient thought being given as to whether its “fit-for-purpose” in the long-term or just right now.

With the increased move towards digital delivery of products and services to clients comes increased technology expectations.

Sometimes there is a need to take a step back and engage an independent, external lens to ensure that what’s being considered is an appropriate fit with existing and future tech stacks, and that the digital direction is suitable to deliver the required outcomes to avoid wasted time, effort, expense and dissatisfaction.

Additionally, as many Fintech and RegTech companies seek to expand their footprint and go global they often encounter the problem of a lack of physical presence in a key market that they are exploring.

This is typically through either it being too costly or the market being too far away from their home base to dedicate resource.

Drawing on many years of technology implementation, this is where Toredo Global Consulting can play a part in the Oceania region, operating locally on behalf of a select group of companies from initial contact, through the sales process, and on to overseeing implementation and movement into production.

Key Consulting areas:

  • Local on-the-ground Fintech/RegTech representative services

  • Technology suitability assessment

  • Trade technology transformation strategy development (e.g., Operations, Product, Risk technology optimisation)

  • Digital island connectivity (e.g., path-to-paperless)
